The MR-165S CD Marine Receiver features ESP, which is incorporated in all JBL CD players, which is an electronic shock protection that scans the music and stores it as a buffer to virtually eliminate skipping! With 4-channels and 45 watts per channel this marine radio is wired remote ready and offers aux in capability.  Important Info:

  • This JBL stereo / receiver has the capability to to play portable media devices through the front panel AUX IN jack.
  • On the rear of the unit there is also an iPod connection, allowing you to plug in your iPod and control its functions directly through the stereo and its remote controls. However, a separate plug adapter (I-Plug830) is needed to connect your iPod to the rear of the stereo unit. This plug adapter is not included with the JBL MR-165. It is available here.
  • The JBL MR-165 does not support the JBL text displaying remote controls (examples: MC-18, MC-19CH, MC-19S, REM-45CH, REM-45S and MC-9) The remotes needed for this receiver are the REM-30 or REM-40GS. (The remote control plug on the back of this unit is a white plastic connector not a round #13 pin connector that is used for the text displaying remote controls.)
  • The (Din-Amp) in-line convertor is available to transfer this white remote plug to a #13 pin remote plug. This will allow you to connect other text displaying remotes to this receiver. Please be advised that by connecting your text displaying remotes this way, the MR-165 will still not be able to support the display function of the remote controls.
